A home is measured by its ability to restore you.
About Cathy Chalfant
At the age of five, I tackled my first design project… a playhouse with room to entertain one guest. Well appointed and constructed of cardboard, it was conveniently located in the basement across from the washer and dryer.
Over the last three decades, my projects have grown with me. I’ve worked in homes and businesses of all sizes from 700 – 14,000 sq. ft. The majority of my projects were completed in Naples and Tampa, Florida until I returned to Indiana in 2016. Carmel is now my home, and I’m proud to serve the design community as the Administrator for the Indiana Chapter of ASID.
Today I still love every home as much as that little cardboard house. It’s the inspiration for my business name and a reminder that regardless of size, every space is measured by its’ ability to restore and uplift the client. No project is compete until I’ve accomplished this.

Guidance for DIY Clients
“I met Cathy in 2016 when she partnered with Artichoke Designs. I’ve continued to work with her as she formed Taft Street Interiors. As the owner of a construction business, I’ve trusted her with my home and business needs. She’s handled our exterior color selection and interior decor. She’s met all deadlines within budget, sourced high quality furnishings, and tailored every selection to match my personal style. Cathy loves her work and makes me feel as though I’m her only client.”
